MY APPROACH

I am passionate about understanding multi-faceted, contributory causes to low vitality/fatigue, inflammation in the body and resulting symptoms, illness or lack of well-being.

The nutritional programmes I design for clients aim to harness the body’s powers of repair and healing, by recognising and addressing the unique interaction we each have with nutrients, the strength of gut-mind connections and becoming more in tune with what is supportive to us versus what may be impacting our health negatively, from a nutritional perspective.

Naturopathic nutritional therapy incorporates the knowledge and on-going extensive research and findings of modern-day nutritional science, with the compelling learnings of alternative medicine traditions, naturopathic techniques, therapies and nutritional approaches, and inclusion of other supportive lifestyle steps

WHAT IS NATUROPATHY?

Naturopathy respects the innate connection and interaction between the structural, biochemical and mental/emotional aspects of a person. It recognises that disruption in one area, will lead to dysfunction elsewhere. Its ultimate aim is to rebalance and re-energise the body in order to facilitate healing, good health and vitality.

Naturopathy includes a variety of therapies and techniques including:

Hydrotherapy

It views the person as a whole and recognises the unique ways we respond to influences, whether mental/emotional, structural, nutritional, social or cultural.

Naturopathy seeks to identify and address root causes and not to focus only on symptoms. Nutrition, the foods we eat, how these suit us as unique individuals, when we eat them (thinking about seasonal approaches to our foods and cooking choices) and how effectively we absorb them, is front and centre of a naturopathic approach to health, vitality and well-being.
